Dragon(s) Coming To Minecraft!

Hey look! What's that in the sky? Is it a flying creeper? Is it Herobrine? No, its a dragon!

Yes, you had read it correctly, Notch himself has confirmed that Dragon(s) are coming to Minecraft within the next update which is supposedly the Adventure Mode update! Notch has posted screen shots via his Twitter showing us that the dragon is fully modelled and currently have a paint of textures applied to it.

While we do not know full details of what the dragon can do or what we can do with it. it should be most interesting and fun to discover it for ourselves, although Notch has hinted in this tweet and this tweet that we may be fighting the dragon(s)! So grab your shields and swords and prepare our selves for a scorching experience once this update lands in front of us!

So what are you most excited about with the dragon(s) update? Leave comments and thoughts!

dead island theme for lols. http://bit.ly/gyXaNL

Well well well, I have been giving the challenge of not mentioning the words Zombies, Dead or Island, so for a laugh I'll see if I can have a go at doing ittt! Well here we go...Yipee! :D

^Appreciate dat awesome edit btw. Took me 20 minutes to do, recognise my hard work.

So the game has been released for almost a month now and I got it a few weeks back, currently like over 70 hours into it on two separate characters, completed the game and planning on getting DLC when it is released! We all saw the trailer, I think it was back in May with the family on vacation and how it went horribly wrong due to the un-foreseen circumstances, some of us loved it, some of us hated it, some even shed a manly tear. The game was highly anticipated since that trailer was released, but did it live up to the hype?

I'd say at this moment, 25/09/2011, the game is an uncut diamond, and Deep Silver are chiselling away to perfect this diamond of a game. Yes it has it's bugs but every great game has them at the beginning *coughinb4skyrimcough*. Some of the bugs in this game can be very annoying at times and could even stop you from progressing through at that point (Solved by either death or reloading the game) and some are just downright hilarious to see. Like one time me and ma buddy Soph were doing an escort mission through the city, and then all of a sudden, the man disappeared and all that was showing was his shins downwards, was quite LOLish on da mic! Deep Silver are hard at work though with already patches out for both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 squashing some of the bugs currently out there!

The beauty of this game I find is that you feel as though you are actually in a apocalypse. The amount of times you will sh** yourself through this game, jump back, jump in your seat, scream, hide behind your controller will be immense. Hearing the screams and growls of the special infected, realising what it was, cautiously creeping round the corner, notice the Ram and you could run for the London Olympics. It is definitely the best game in my eyes featuring the undead and gives the possibly most realistic experience of what it could be like during an event like this.

Awwwww boy! I love the graphics in this game! Yes the game play which was released after the first trailer didn't exactly show the greatest graphics, but I think that was an early dev version, but the graphics compared are superb! It makes the whole gore system that how much more brutal! Being able to target limbs, chest and head and just chopping the flesh and bone away until there is nothing left! Yes the gore goes down in stages such as skin > muscle > bone/organs > nothingness! You will just love going through all the different areas within the game and brutalising everything in sight!

I won't go too much into the storyline of things as I don't want to spoil much of the game for everyone, but it is a pretty good storyline within the game. It is just what you make of it and how you go about it during each of the missions with the game. It can be much more fun if you make it.

A few complaints I do have of the game is the lack of weapons during the beginning. You always seem to come across the same ol' weapon during the beginning stages and it does become a bit boring and stale killing with the same thing, it is only once you start progressing more, you get more unique weapons and mods which make up for it in the long run. Also they aren't very imaginative which is kind of a let down in some cases. Maybe more to be added in some DLCs? The Infected! ARGH They p*ss me off so fricken much it is unreal! You'll see what I mean if you play the game! Urm, it is not a massive issue but I sometimes find myself returning to the same place over and over again, while it is not too bad it does become a bit boring exploring the same area over and over again because someone forgot a prized possession. There are a few other minor issues which are not really worth mentioning.

Overall, I think this game is brilliant and well worth a play through, I have seen it in Game for £46.99 or something like that. Avoid anything above £35 in my opinion, anything below and I would suggest buying it. The game has few bugs which are being dealt with quickly, the Co-Op mode is single-player mode just obviously with another player, no different features at the moment. Just buy this game...Just not over £35...

UPDATE: Future Content and What Has Been Happening!

Hello again once again fellow gamers! Just a post to let you guys who are still keeping up about what is going be happening to the blog soon and what I've been up to lately in regards to what I will be posting on here in the future! :D

------------------------------------------------------------

New Computer!

First off, a big shout and massive thank you to Sophie for her recent big favour for me! I won't say what it is right now, but you could probably hazard a guess :) Without her, I would not have been able to get my new beast of a computer! (Actual beast, it's called the Predator, Acer named it, not me :P) The specs are really good, I don't have too much great knowledge about specs, but I definitely know I've got some good ones! With that, I am now able to play far more better games in much higher quality without any trouble, compared to the piece of shit I had before :p So expect a bit more of variety and difference between the future games I'll be talking of!

------------------------------------------------------------

Happenings!

Well recently again, I've got my job back, so I've pretty much been busy during most of the week with college and that, but as soon as college is out the way, I got a few mini-projects I want to start doing and uploading to the blog, such as the continuation of Zombie Story and the Fallout: New Vegas diary...I should hopefully starting on the diary sometime soon, because I really like the idea and would love to do something like it!

------------------------------------------------------------

Future Content

Well really, I keep saying this in my recent blog posts that I will be getting more posts out more often, though I haven't been quite true to my word on that one, so sorry for the bullshit. Sophie recently though got me a LEGAL copy of Fraps, a video recording software which is widely used to record games, so I am thinking of starting to do little videos containing content like I do on the blog, but I would like so ideas of what you guys would like to see/hear, games you'd like to see, style, serious or humour, bit of both? Give me your thoughts if you wish to, it'd be a big help if you can! :D Either let me know here, Facebook or Twitter, anyway you could tell me would be great!

Oh and Sophie has also been working on a background for me which should be up pretty soon! So far it is looking awesome! She has done an avatar of me similar to the Mojang avatars they use, so it should be pretty cool once it's all done and finished! So keep an eye out for that one as well!

As always, keep gaming!

Minecraft Server!

We have all started Minecraft again! Whoo! Yes, we have all started playing on the server which is being hoster by HaloSophie, because she is awesome like that! We were resetting the worlds, trying to find a moderately decent one we could all start building in, after a few resets, we cam across the PERFECT server, even the spawning area just look amazing. So obviously we decided to keep it and start building again!

Below is a video of a few screen shots of how the world is looking so far! Also a bit of TNT fun where a few of us were killed despite how far away we were!

Well there we are, I hope you enjoyed the videos! Might get some more up soon! :D

As always, Happy Gaming!

New Games + Future News About My Blog :)

Heya guys and to who ever maybe reading this. It has been too long of a while since I last wrote something on this blog and it's about time I did something about this. This blog won't be talking about a certain game as such but more just general speaking about what I've been playing lately, probably do full posts on them again soon or something!

Resident Evil 5

Took a while to get used to the controls again, but after a short while, got back into the swing of the whole RE feel and got going with the game. I do think this game is one of the most underrated in the series, if you've played the previous ones and have not yet played this one, take my word for it that this game is definately worth a play through, especially the multi-player element to it, so much fun . Expect a full post about this soon.

http://goo.gl/hKBB2 < Resident Evil Gold Edition Xbox 360 version, nice price as well.

Fallout 3 + New Vegas

Great games, both of them seriously. Bought them both again for the Xbox 360, my PC is not too great at playing these games due to my crap graphics card. Got them for really good prices as well, I can really have a good few play through on both of these games due to how amazingly fun they can be. I got an idea in mind for New Vegas and the blog, refer to future updates to see what I'm on about.

Dragon Age: Origins

Had this game for nearly two years and didn't really bother much with it at all until quite recently. Decided I really needed to play through it and see what the big fuss was about and by holy mother my mind was blown. Such an amazing game in terms of every element to it, definitely expect a post about this soon. Need to hammer the DLC first before I consider buying the second one. Heard good things about that one as well :)

Future Updates

Well summer is getting closer and closer each day and college is soon coming to an end. With this I'll definitely have more time to proper get blogging again and hopefully have enough money just to buy a crap load of random games and start writing reviews on them. So below is a little check list of things I wish to have done before summer comes:

- More blog posts about old games and recent games

- Acquire more followers from somewhere

- Get a new blog design up, sick of seeing grey tbh

- Get zombie story part 3 up and going ASAP

- Start blogging some concepts for game ideas

- Add features to make the blog more interesting/interactive

- Try not to bore the shit out of followers/readers

So there's my list, if anyone has any other ideas of what I could add or mention if I've missed something, either comment here or send me a message or whatever, messenger pigeons/owls, whatever takes your fancy I suppose.

Okay last thing which I would appreciate some thoughts back on if you could. Inspired by PC gamers Minecraft 30 day diary, I was thinking about doing a Fallout: New Vegas Hardcore Mode diary, where I put up a new blog/blog page and use it as a diary for my character, but write the diary out as if I am the character. I thought this might have been a new and fun way of playing the game, not sure about what the rules should be, maybe you could suggest a few, but I have one down so far which is going to be hard, but I think I could do it, one life only. I die and that is the end of the diary.

Thoughts and comments are appreciated :)
Until next time then!

Singularity...

Heya guys. I am back with another nice blog post about some gaming I have done recently. Just a quick word, I hope you are all still enjoying the reads and all that, the comments, thoughts, content, just tell me if anything needs doing or anything needs the improvement :)

And please share with your friends and subscribe to the blog! :) Anyways, on to the blog...

Singularity

....The game is amazing. Haha. Sorry, I just had to say that. Okay, walking through Manchester, notice this game, read the blurb, want. I found this game for a really good price and thought instantly I am getting this game, it sounds awesome, looks awesome, and for such an awesome price, I just couldn't leave this game in the city. I played this game after a few days of buying, due to playing other games with friends, and I thought it's about time to actually play this game properly, sadly I chose this to play this game when the girlfriend was over. Why sadly? I was hooked at first, then I was grappled until this game got me into submission.

Singularity, you play through multiple objectives, with multiple devices killing multiple enemies. "Aww, but I have played this before...!" "Did I mention time manipulation?" That's right, this game allows the use of time manipulation, which I feel if they did not involve with the combat as much as they did, this game would not have been even worth distributing! The use of time manipulation within this game is amazing, from directing your own bullets to controlling a projectile fired at YOU back to your enemy! It just adds a huge element of awesome to a FPS which I personally has been missing from this genre for a while. This game is just so action packed with so many different elements, using different ways to destroy your enemy or mutant, or figuring out how to come across a puzzle, this game is just so fulfilling in terms of FPS.

The multi-player...I am not a  massive fan of, if you are looking to buy this game for the online experience, I would definitely not recommend buying this game then. The MP is definitely a massive downfall of this game, there seems to be a few maps, with a choice of 2 game modes which is highly disappointing. The ranking system of the game seems to have no point to it at all, apart from you can see who has been either playing the game a really long time or who is really good at the game, apart from that I cannot see any point at all for it. Nicely though you are able to choose your different characters which each have their own unique abilities, as well as choosing their weapons and perks.

It has been stated that this game has not been to be massively story orientated, but I feel the story in the game is enough to satisfy the player enough along with all the action in the game. It is not massively in depth but it is a story and a good one at that,. it is imaginative and believable, no stupid bullshit that comes out. One thing that did surprise me most about this game is the ending...Good, bad? I will let you see, if you decide to buy the game! My own opinion, buy the game if you find it anywhere cheap, don't buy it for £40, it's not worth that much, but any less than £30, then I would recommend.

Just a quick note

When this week ends, 7th to the 14th, I will be uploading a hell of a lot more content to this blog, I hoping to get a hell of a lot blog posts up in the week commencing as well as some blog content such as videos, art work etc. We'll see what it brings. Seriouslly though, thanks for the views and support so far guys for viewing :)

Fellowship of The Mine + Metal Gear Rising!!

Heya guys and welcome to a new post! I hope you will stick around long enough to tread this as I want to try get some very good points across to you, the gamers :) In this post, I will covering Minecraft and my recently regain addiction to the game and something which has swung back into the frame of things, Metal Gear Rising...

Metal Gear Rising

Most people that know me will know I am a die-hard Metal Gear fan...I absolutely love the franchise and everything about it. Playing through the main series of Metal Gear Solid 1 through to 4. I have never felt some emotionally connected to a game ever. The Metal Gear Solid series is what I feel an underrated game which has not received the glory it deserves yet, but I guess that is a good thing, because we keep the true games away from the annoying 10 year old Modern Warfare 2 kids away. (YA LITTLE RAT BASTARDS!) Anyway back to the point...I came across some screenshots of concept of the menu screen for the upcoming Metal Gear Rising (MGR, which I can not wait for <3) The screen shots have been confirmed real, but definately not what what they might turn out to look like in the finalised version of the game. For those who have not seen them. You can view them below. From the looks of screenshots, multi-player has been confirmed for the game (GET IN!). What it will be like? We still have no idea.

The start up screen

The Main Menu, as you can see multi-player is an option

Options menu

Controllers option
The game is scheduled for 2011, but from a recent interview, the release date may be pushed to 2012 (NOOOOO!). The game so far is looking rather nice, with a whole new game engine and the new slash system. Personally, with a new producer behind this game and from what interviews I have read, this game will not be a story in-depth game, which makes me believe this will not be a true Metal Gear game, but the closest it can get to one, but I guess we will see.

MINECRAFT!!!11!!!1!

I dunno what it is, but I have found my loved addiction for this game again. Spending a whole weekend playing oin the single player mode after buying it previous months ago. I just can't get off it. I spent a whole weekend making a sand fortress and then building random mob traps which I found on YouTube and then going to build annoying machines. The limits on this game are bloody endless and I thank Notch for bringing this real game to the world. A game with no ending (Currently). Just a world where you can dive in and make what you want to happen, happen. Not trying to sound a bit sad here, but this game can make your dreams, reality. "Hey I wanna build a massive roller coaster!" "Minecreaft" "I want to build the world the way I see it" "MineCraft" "I want to explore a world and shape it all out myself" "Minecraft" "I want to ride a pig" "Minecraft!" There is just so many endless possibilities with this game! The game is currently in BETA and there is still so much more to come! What more could Notch throw at us?!

The game got extra interesting when a great friend (Sophieeee), paid for a rented sever for me and a great bunch of mates top play on, much similar to the single player mode, expect we all get to build together and shape the world the way we want to. So far we've all managed to build our own houses, a minecart bridge connecting some houses together, we have many mines to explore and lava moats! (DAMN THAT LAVA) And we're only just beginning! We enabled the mobs for the first time today and what a madness amount of time that was ! Haha. Instantly we were swarmed with zombies, spiders and many of them SSSSSSSSS creepers! They blew our houses up, killed us insanely amount of times, but we were still bringing back the fight!

There is nothing more interesting though when you come on again and realise the whole world is on FIRE!?! :O Yes, the lava had been set free and set a lot of the area around us on fire, poor trees </3 We'll re-plant you only to chop you down once more and then re-plant you. It's an endless circle of tree killing.

In the end though, this game is a very enjoyable and addictive game. I will recommend this game to anyone!

Well I hope this blog has been a bit informative, it's been a bit more 'What I've been up to on MineCraft'! Nonetheless though, if you want to ask me any questions, I'll try answer the best I can! :)

I Had A Nightmare...An Undead Nightmare!

Everyone must of had one... You know what I mean! Those nightmares where there is a zombie outbreak and your one of the only survivors in like, your local area and you fight through the zombies, rescuing survivors blah blah usual stuff you do in a zombie outbreak, then you get eaten, die, you wake up! That gutted feeling you get when you wanted that dream to go on and on!

Well Rockstar took the time and dedication to bring out, what I personally believe to be the greatest expansion to any game ever, the Undead Nightmare for Read Dead Redemption and what a expansion it was! I've got to say first, if you don't want any SPOLIERS, buy the game first and then read this blog review afterwards. I can guarantee you will not be wasting your money on this one! It is worth every penny and even more!

Okay, let us get started! You start off when you have just been reunited with your family and John Marston is trying to get his life back to normal again, like he was during the original storyline, but this story has a bit of a twist. Uncle has gone out for a few drinks and hasn't returned yet, it's getting quite late and there is a storm coming about. Poor bugger, yeah? Yeah I think so, because I don't think it was alcohol he was drinking, try more human blood? Uncle has turned into a blood thirsty hound just like the rest of the mindless horde outside. He appears at the house and attacks Abigail, who then attacks Jack. Bad times right? Nah. Not really, John Marston with his trusty rope lasso's and ties up both his wife and son and puts them away in the house for safe keeping. Not understanding anything that goes on, he embarks on a whole new different adventure to the original, where he must find out what is going on and how he can help save his family.

Throughout the Undead Nightmare story, you will come across many of your old favourite characters who each again have some major parts throughout the story and assist John with coming closer to the answers for the causes behind the apocalypse. The characters have gone just as funny, serious, wacky, helpful as they were in the original, some of which will survive, some of which will join the flesh eating monsters. It's always a great feeling watching the annoying bastards get eaten away while John just stands there smirking. Sadly some of the characters who you wish to be slaughtered in front of you, are sadly left alone. Nonetheless though, the characters again have been used greatly, there doesn't seem to be any laziness from Rockstar while putting together this new story. They seemed to have touched upon everywhere that was not either seen or heavily used in the original and given it life and still not missing out on any of the major parts in the game!

The Undead Overrun mode on multi-player, is a survival wave featuring four players who can choose from many different weapon classes who fight off waves of the undead. I find this mode very entertaining and fun, and it does at times rely heavily on team work which is always a great think to see in online gaming, as you don't get much of that nowadays in games. Random coffins spawn at the beginning of waves which feature ammo for all players and holy water for whoever opens the coffin, unique weapons appear throughout the game for a player, the difficulty and amount of undead increases per wave, it's just all out hell when it comes to this mode! It features 15 waves and after you've completed wave 15, it's sudden death where there is no extra ammo and no re-spawns. Also it's just endless undead. So, find yourself a roof, kill the undead until all your ammo runs out, jump around, act like a fool, run from the undead, kill your team mates, do whatever. It's just a heap of laughs when it comes to this mode!

Overall, I reckon this expansion is bloody brilliant! I've finished the main storyline in the Undead Nightmare mode, I just need to finish off a few more things to gain the 100% achievement for it, but seriously I recommend this expansion to anyone who owns Red Dead Redemption and the other expansion packs or to anyone who is a die hard zombie fan! It's one for everyone really!

Happy gaming!
