Sorry about how late this has been, it's been hell of a busy week and I only managed to get this game finished late Friday by which time, I'd already got people round and then the staff party last night so this has been the best chance to do this mini-review, so I'm going for it!

[SPOILERS AHEAD! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED]

This post will be covering the game Metro 2033 made by THQ and released in Spring 2010. I have one question though before I start this post? Why is this game not as popular as it should be? So I'm going to blag my way through this and maybe you can add your own thoughts to it later about what you think. Here we go then...

To me, this is one of them games you will pick up in the future from your old dusty collection of old games and have some urge just to play it all through again. Similiar what we'd do now with one of our old Nintendo games or Playstation 1 games :P This game seriously did not receive the reception it deserved, because this game is actually really good in my opinion and I never hear or see many people mentioning. I'm not sure why though, I guess it just never got out there in people's faces like other games have done in the past, that's one of the reasons I've heard, that THQ barely did much advertising for this game. Why not? I'm not sure, I'll do my research later...But seriously this game is completely worth it and you can pick it up extremely cheap for the time it's been out, I think £10 on PC from most places and £20-£25 on Xbox 360, maybe even less.

Well for the purpose of trying to get this out to you guys as quick as possible, I played the game through on Easy so I could quickly do it, I'd already had a save half way through but I couldn't recall the storyline as well.  So Metro 2033 is Nazi's, Mutants and a post-apocalyptic Russia. Sounds pretty good to me, sounds different, maybe similar to such games like Fallout etc.  and in some aspects it is. So the story of the game is the citizens of Moscow have moved down into the Metro tunnels where they live until they can one day live on the surface again. They have the stations which seem to operate themselves as the small settlements people have set up which have their own laws and rules, so it's different in every station pretty much, so this was a nice aspect of expecting something different every time. The game starts up and your on the surface, something happens and you find yourself playing from a week ago after this point, so it's the build up to what you've just seen.

You play as a young Russian man called Artyom and are introduced to another Ranger who seem to be lone warriors who roam the metro. He gives you a task to bring awareness to the Metro you currently live in, so that the Dark Ones do not destroy that station like they have with many more. Due to the strong feelings your character has, he accepts the task and makes his way though the metro tunnels, coming across different companions, stations, monsters, factions and even the surface. Overall though, I think the story is definitely a good one, it's a nice plot and has a nice ending which seems to leave us on a cliffhanger (More on this later). At times the story does feel stale and you just cannot be bothered any more, but then something happens and your completely thrown in again!

I love the combat in this game, great weapons which many customisations, they have a good variety with a nice control lay-out. They brought out a DLC pack which contained a feature which would change the control lay-out so it was specific for console controllers rather than PC. The fun thing about the combat in this game is, you have got to be concious about the amount of bullets you use. Why because they is hardly any of it? Nope. Ammo in Metro 2033 is the currency for the game and depending on the condition of the bullet determines how much it is worth. Again sometimes it does seem that the combat does drag on, but like the story line, events happen which turn everything again and drags you back for more.

What other little touches are there...Well there is the torch light which can be charged up every so often to increase the strength of the light and it's range which is pretty cool I thought. While wearing a gas mask during combat as well is pretty cool and fun. While in combat the gas mask will take damage which will make your screen look dirty and cracked, making you feel like your the character especially when your in the dark alone!

Cracked gas mask in Metro 2033

There is a ton of awesome stuff in the game which I am yet to find all of it, but what I've come across so far is pretty amazing tbf. Obviously the game has it's flaws but they can be vastly improved on in the upcoming sequel. Yep that is right. THQ have confirmed they are currently working on a sequel to Metro 2033 which shall be called "Metro 2034". No release date or estimated date has been given apart from it will be a few years before we see it. I will definitely be getting that one to see how this story is going to further expand. Anyway, I believe that will be it for now! I hope you've enjoyed reading my post and I'll be back soon with some Red Dead Redemption updates and hopefully some DLC!

Any feedback negative or positive is highly appreciated! Contact me if you have any questions regarding the game or blog and I'll try answer them!

Current Happenings...

Heya guys. It's been a while since I properly posted a gaming review or thoughts since the Zombie edition post. Reason I haven't updated my blog is due I haven't acctually  decided what to write about yet really, and I've been working a lot on trying to get my blog more appealing to people by adding new pages, content and features!

I'll explain a few ideas which I have thought of at the moment and I guess you guys can tell me what you think. Okay first of all, I will be uploading Zombie Story Part 3 by the end of this week, mainly when I can be bothered to write it up as I've got a hell of a busy week! I want to write about Metro 2033, as I feel it isn't well recognised as it should be tbh, so I'm going to shed some light on that, and hopefully tomorrow (Tuesday), I'll have a new background which will be featuring Metro 2033, so look out for that! Hopefully it'll look pro!

Also been playing the old Call of Duty games 4 and 5, which I find to be some much more enjoyable online than the frustrating CoD6 MP! I might write up some thoughts about this in the next post along with Metro 2033...Just maybe!

Last two mentions which shall be short and sweet,I've started a side blog which shall be smaller and be updated whenever I have a moment with it at Tumblr! Last thing is I have my first ever graphics tablet coming soon, so expect some work to be uploaded soon as well! I don't know whether it'll be good or not, but hopefully with enough practice it will be!

Sponsored Leg Waxing - Charity Event

Me, Nick, Jon and Sophie are doing a sponsored leg wax at College Llandrillo for St. David's Hospice. We thought it would be a fun idea to do and would appreciate any sponsorship or support you can send.

Here is a link to the online donation site - http://www.justgiving.com/damian-farrell all donations are greatly appreciated and go to a brilliant cause. We take no money from this at all, it all goes directly to the charity. We hope to be able to take pictures and maybe video the event for all to see.

Halloween may have come and gone, but not for this blog...ZOMBIE EDITION!

Well well well.. it has been like just over a week since I last updated my blog! That's a bit crap tbf! I shouldn't be neglecting this! Well I have decided to make this post a zombie edition, I dunno why, maybe cause there is just zombies. Zombies everywhere! I mean we have the new Dead Rising 2, RDR: Undead Nightmare, zombies in COD:BO and I've completed part 2 of my zombie story *Cheers* Anyways, sorry that it has taken me a while to get this part out, hopefully it'll be good for now until I start writing up part 3! If you haven't read part 1 yet, I strongly suggest you do if you want to understand anything that is going on so far, you can read it here! Anyway without further delay, let's get this post going!

Now I was bit worried about buying this game at first, due to the fact that I thought this game would be too much like Dead Rising 1, yeah there definite improvements and new game play aspects, but I wasn't too sure. The multi-player mode also didn't catch my fancy too much. Well this was until Sophie (Check her blog here!) lent me the game, and boy did my worries drift away quickly! Now before in dive in and give my feelings about the game, I haven't played much into the storyline, but even so, I don't think you have to understand how great this game could potentially be to play. I like the little intro, you are thrown straight in to the Terror Is Reality game show and you find yourself riding a bike with 2 chainsaws equipped to the handle bar! Sounds awesome right? Well trying playing it, just riding through hordes of zombies cutting them to pieces, while facing off against three other players was just thrilling enough! I still wonder what it'd be like against other players, but I'll try that soon enough! So after this, I got straight into the game, watched the cut scenes and started playing, straight away, the HUD has been greatly improved, everything looks nicer and more smoother, just making it straight away look like a very nice game! Eventually you are introduced to combo cards, what are they? They are cards which show you what items you can combine together to create an even better weapon, I mean who wouldn't want a drill bucket? Plus the music while creating the items was pretty cool, personally like it a lot! The survivors around the city seem to be a lot easier to have accompany you now! Rather than getting in your way or even just standing there letting themselves get attacked by zombies, they react to situations quite well and do quite the opposite of what they used to, they stay out of your way and fend off zombies themselves. +1 so far to Capcom! Now...I've gotta say, my personal favourite improvement thus far, is that you can now SKIP conversations! YES! Thank you, no longer do I have to sit there and wait 30 seconds for the next line to come up, I can skip them whenever I like! YES Thank you Capcom, 10+ to you!

On to some dislikes of this game, main one is where is Frank?! I knew he wasn't going to be featured in the game at all, but why not? He was a great character,oh so manly and he knew how to work the ladies as well. I have heard though, dunno if it is true or not, that is rumoured that he will be featured in a future DLC pack and will fight along with Chuck against the zombie hoards! That would be sweet to see tbh. They both seem to be very cool and fun characters to play! Both together should make the game a whole lot more enjoyable! My other dislike thus far is, I ain't sure if it was the same in the first one, but Chuck seems to move along quite slow, I dunno if that is just me though? He just moves along slowly, admiring the scene...thinking about his daughter...killing some zombies...O.o

Phwoar do I want this? Yeah I do! When I found out about this, I thought it was all lies! They wouldn't would they?! But they did! Yes Rockstar, you complete game developing legends! Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare was the 4th (I think?) and final DLC for the game. They went out with a bang on this one, a whole new story to the single-player side of the game and new game modes to the multi-player side. Playing as John Martson, a plague has spread around and it is up to you to find out what is happening and to find a cure! I've read so much about about this pack, watched some videos and heard so many positive reviews about it! I just can't wait to get it, hopefully for Christmas along with the other DLC packs which I still don't have apart from the free one (Poorfag ftw)! Well there isn't really much I could write about this one apart from the fact I want it that badly. I might just have to do a future post about it when I get the game I suppose! Just thought I'd bang it in here for now to let you guys know!

Here we are with part 2 of my zombie story...Part 3 will be out soon! I promise :} Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it ^.^ Your comments and support is always appreciated!

    Part 2

Ha...Kind of makes you grateful for the how simple life used to be compared to what it was like now. I don’t see things’ changing back to normal for a very long time after this is all done. I wonder if anyone will read this, I hope so, maybe they can learn to avoid the mistakes we have made that caused all of this...I am documenting all the events, just so that if this story was to get out to someone, they would know truly what happened...what happened to me, my family and the rest of the country. The truth needs to be told. You think this could never possibly happen, watching it in the films you get scared but laugh about it after. How ironic eh? We aren’t laughing yet.

I woke up the following morning, I thought I must’ve woken up early in the morning, as it was still quite dark outside, regardless it was like 8AM, I rolled over to cuddle with the girlfriend but she wasn’t there. Assuming she had gone into the shower, I went to the bathroom to join her. To my disappointment though, she wasn’t in the bathroom either. Suppose she must have gone to make breakfast or something like that I guess. Nowhere to be found in the house, I tried ringing her mobile to see where she had got herself to. I then assumed she must’ve gone for a jog with the dog as I could not find the dog anywhere either. I grabbed the house phone and dialled for her mobile to see where she had gotten herself to.  I heard the ringing faintly coming from outside the back garden. That’s right she must’ve been hanging the washing up or doing some early morning gardening. I mean who doesn’t? I went to the window and had a look out the window. I noticed the dog was next to his kennel, and next to him was my girlfriend’s mobile phone...covered in blood. I quickly dashed for the back door and ran out towards the kennel until I saw her... Lying there, completely still, her body had been ravaged. The dog turned to straight at me growling as if I were threatening him. His eyes were jet black with red shots going to his pupils, he had blood drooling from his mouth and fur scuffed up. I backed off a few paces, but then the dog lunged at me, continuously snapping it’s jaw and barking at me. I quickly turned round and dashed it back to the house locking the sliding door behind me. I ran straight for the phone and dialled for the police. The service was busy, the service was busy...the service was busy. I have this crazed animal at my window that has ripped my girlfriend to bits and your service is busy! Then I heard a loud smash of glass shattering, I opened the drawer and pulled out a butcher knife, ready to defend myself at whatever was coming. I looked round the corner into the hallway, nothing...I looked in the living room, nothing...This crazed animal had gone missing and I have no idea where has gone. I turn around to try the phone again and there he is, as if he was waiting there for me to turn round, he lunged at me again, taking me to the floor, snapping his jaw at me, I quickly stabbed the knife through his skull to defend myself, then silence. I was there for a few seconds before pushing the dog to the side of me, I couldn’t actually put one and two together about what just happened. Was this a joke? A bad nightmare? Or was this actually happening?

I ran out to the back garden, ran straight to the kennel, following the blood trail the dog had left back to my girlfriend or where she was. What? But she was right here just 5 minutes ago...The body had moved, had someone else moved it? Or had it moved itself? I looked round and saw a blood trail leading to an open back gate, I ran out to see if I could see anything. Oh boy did I see something.

Coffeee.....Beer....Friends!! Little bit of RDR and some other small thingies...

Win! What else eh? I dunno maybe some booze would do and maybe some more fags, but ahhh well.....!!! So far what can I say, I suppose the gaming side of LoL has kinda failed a bit, I mean trying to connect to the servers...good game fail yeah... :P Haha. What do we do when Gree's computer goes all funny on him !! Ah well, I dunno Sophie getting owned by bots and minions!! Haha. :P

Anyway.... I need another beer. Shit dayum! Okay got one, sound game, hopefully Gree's computer may work pretty soonish so we can get some gaming going on!

Anyway, back to a game blog eh ;) That was just a quick life update !! Haha :D

    Red Dead Rederption?

Okay...So I played through this game for about 3 days game play...And I've just recently finished the main storyline to the game, and I've gotta say...Kinda dissapointed...I loved the main storyline, I mean it is a traditional Rockstar company storyline for a game which I'm happy with, but when you finish the second to last mission, your left gob smacked. You don't understand what could possibly happen now? Right...? [SPOILERS] You find yourself playing as Jack Marston. I won't describe what happened in the mission before as I don't want to give to much unless people as me to do a personal review on the game!!

Now..I found this a nice little surprise and I thought this would change some of the things to the gameplay, but come on, nothing was different at all...Somehow, he's managed to keep all my weapons with all the same ammo?  Now that's all fine and dandy...I suppose, I mean it'd be nicer if he just started with a revolver or something instead of all the same weapons! It's just makes no difference to the game apart from your controlling a new character...There is similar dialogue, same weapons, strangers speak to you as if they've spoken to you previouslly, there's just no massive difference to you playing as this character, and tbh IMO I mch preffered John Marston to play...Either way, I like this addition, it was a nice touch and was fun at first to play as this different character.

Next of all, I'd LOVE to rant and moan about how cliche the mission was searching for the last guy! This was a stupid 15 minute run to find this man, and what a stupid way to finish it all. It was your typical predictable, been done so many times ending. I was extremely dissapointed with this as I expected a whole lot more considering the ruthlessness of the Wild West back in the day...I mean come on, they could've left this for some DLC and seriously go to town on the story-line. I guess it is much to late for them to change it now, due to them having it already in the game and now no future DLC is coming out sadly! :( All in all, I would definately love to try give this game a proper well written review and I might just do some day when I've got enough time...I guess!! :D

Final words on this, I suggestif you haven't got this game yet, you have to buy it, it is a an extremely great game with probably the best DLC you can offer to a game! This is definately a contender for GOTY (IMO). If your a fan of cowboys or GTA or RDR. Your going to love this game. Buy it, order it. Play it! You will not regret it kay?! :D Guhbye!

Legend of the West: John Marston

    UPDATES CONCERNING YOU!

Now...I've had a few requests to finish off the zombie story which I had uploaded some time last week, I got a lot of great responses for it and a lot of nice feedback which I love to hear so please keep it coming! :D I've got a ton of ideas for what I'm going to do for this story...But your going to have to wait and see what I've got in mind before I say anything else ;) More news on this, I'm going to be releasing this story up in parts every week from now on...I'm not sure which day I'll be releasing them on but I'll definitely keep you all notified. For those wondering where part 2 is...Well it's on it's way I PROMISE...Expect it sometime this up-coming week <3

Also, quick note, I'm definately going to be running a competition for a few people I personally know. The aim of this is to guess the ending of the story (I will have the ending done already). The person who guesses the closest to my ending will win a  small money prize :) I though this might be a small way of saying thanks for the great support you guys have given me since the start! Your all great tbf !

Anyway, that's it from me guys, thank you all again for love and support <3

    Zombie Story Intro... [Non-Game Related]

Heya guys, just thought I'd post something fresh up on here and a little bit different to expectations. A little while ago I started writing a little zombie story, only got as far as writing the intro (Took the intro of Outnumbered for it as well :P), but I thought I might as well post it on here, so if anything was to ever happen to my computer, I've got it safe here! So if your bored and fancy a little read, here you are! :)

    Daz-Noob, happy gaming!

P.S more gaming posts coming up soon, going to be covering Red Dead Redemption as I've recently finished the main quest, so gonna write about that for a bit :D

It was midnight. I had just arrived back home from a night out in town with the usual lot. Nothing really special happened, had a few beers, and cracked out a few jokes, nothing new or special. Barely even got any laughs, let alone giggles due to my jokes. Ah well, none the less eh? Anyway, this is a story around about how I and six other strangers managed to survive through hell or what they like to call a “government testing gone wrong”, well read on and decide for yourself what you believe it is.

Just your average Saturday night with the girlfriend, I had just arrived back from the shop with the bread and milk for the morning; I can’t miss toast and a strong coffee any morning. Once I had put everything away, hung up my coat, I could finally sit down with my girlfriend and put my feet up. We had decided to have a night in together rather than going out into town or having friends over, so we ordered a take away pizza and got some beers in, oh and also the latest horror film on pirate DVD, cheap and cheesy I know, but who cares eh?  We put the film on and started munching down our pizzas. Things between me and her went smoothly, there was some talking, some kissing and some cuddles away from the scary bits. It was a very nice night in, and one of which was one of my favourite nights with her, but not to my knowledge at the time, my last night with her.

After the film was over, it was coming close to eleven and we both had to be up early or else the dog would end up tearing our bedroom up and shitting everywhere. This was an incident that had occurred one too many times due to oversleeping.  I went into the kitchen to put the beers back in the fridge when I heard some yelling and screams. I peered through the kitchen window curtains to see what all the commotion was about. Typically it was our next door neighbours arguing with each other again. The wife’s shrieks were so unbearable and were hard to even understand what the woman was trying to say. I thought it would be a good idea to crack the radio on, to avoid even hearing the screams. I now know why the radio was so hard to get working now, but at the time, I couldn’t receive any radio signal at all. I was convinced it was broken and suggested to get a new one to the girlfriend, but her being her had to prove to me as well as herself it was not broken at all. She fiddled around for around thirty minutes, even taking it apart at one point until we finally got a signal, but what we were about to hear was the start of things to come. It was a very weak signal and we could barely understand what was being said. We finally managed to get a perfect signal where we could understand what was being said.

“The virus has completely devastated over one hundred and fifty of the world’s major regions, and it is spreading rapidly. At this point in time we know of only one way of killing the creatures, destroying the brain. Be on the guard of any loved ones who may have recently been under any contact with the infected and if you find yourself in a threatening position, please, do not hesitate to act. Again, this is not a test, this is not a joke. We, as a species, are over-whelmed. We are outnumbered”

I looked at my girlfriend and she looked back over at me. The message played itself again and again and again. It wasn’t stopping. We were confused about what we had just heard and whether or not we had picked up a prankster’s radio station trying to be a smart arse. It was coming up to half twelve now, and we knew we had to get some sleep. We shut off the radio, the TV and the lights and went to bed. We spoke a little more about the message; she was confused and scared about what it could have meant. I just kept reassuring her that what she had heard was a complete fake and a joke. I told her everything would be fine and that we will report it to the police in the morning. She was clearly upset but agreed to leave it until the morning. She closed her eyes and I watched her sleep for the very last time.

New Vegas General... Bit of Minecraft...Future posts...

    New Vegas General....[Spoilers Ahead]

Well well, here I am again writing about New Vegas, this just going to be a bit more general when it comes to talking about this game. Hope you guys aren't getting fed up with me chatting on with New Vegas in every post so far, but it is the main game atm :P (Look below for information about future posts!) Anyway, moving on to the game, I've finally made it to the Las Vegas strip and I've gotta say I'm quite impressed with the way the developers have done it! I was worried in case they had made it look like they'd focused most of their development time on this area...but tbf, they've made it look great! The place is destroyed, but the families which have moved in have done up some of the casinos and the surrounding areas in the Strip. Over all,I'm so far quite happy with area of the Strip! Moving on to the casino's, I'm quite disappointed with them. The trailers seem to give off the wrong impression of what they actually are in the game, you see a lot of people walking around drinking, hitting on hookers, and gambling, but upon my first arrival, there was hardly any of this going on! It just didn't look as lively and didn't really give the feeling that your in a casino! Not what I first expected, but hey it's okay I guess. Another MASSIVE disappointment I found with the casino's was the lack of gambling games. There is blackjack, roulette wheel and slot machines. That is all, I thought they'd at least have games of poker going on at least, but nothing to be found but those three games. So much for Sin city I guess...Overall..I'm not particularly impressed with the Strip and what it has to offer to me, sure there are a few nice quests to do around, you meet some interesting people, and I've heard you can get a companion from the outskirts of the Strip! I might add more later thoughts when I've done the game and done everything I can around the Strip, but first impressions aren't doing too great!

Haha, felt like I've yapped on a bit about the Strip and this was meant to be a general about Las Vegas, not a complete opinion of the strip...Ah well! Btw, I'd like to point out, that I think I've found one of the best companions in the game, they literally can take out so many NPCs in so little time, so usually I just leave all the work to them!! If you haven't found them yet, I'll give you a clue for those who are seeking them...They are an ex First Recon in NCR. They are extremely useful tbf...(God it's hard trying not to give their gender away XD)!

I'll leave it at this for now...I don't want to give too much of the game away and plus I just wanna talk about other games more now!! So I might come back to this again in future, but probably not any time this month again.

    Minecraft....Pixels....Diamonds...Buxville....

When first introduced to this game, I think anyone would shove this game aside...Why? Because looking at it gives you no appeal what so ever (I mean pixels, come on, that's so 1980!!). Well that is until your hand is on the mouse and keyboard! This game is highly addictive and a hell of a lot of fun if you have the right imagination for it, because the possibilities are endless with this game! You are able to build whatever you so wish to! (I was shown last week of a cannon which fires pigs into space!!) Many people have built some hugely hard working pieces of work in Minecraft, many of which can be found on YouTube, things from as far as building their castles, to roller coasters to even the world itself. If you don't believe me, go check it out yourself!

This game also offers a chance to play offline or online multi-player where you can go on a world with your friends and get to building whatever you want. There are many current servers which are designed for role players, projects or people who just want to hang out!  Currently I've joined a server which is for all sorts of reasons, people can sometimes role-play on it or just go on to hang out with their friends. Personally, I really enjoy playing on this server, the host has done a great job with bringing in the right plug-ins for Minecraft and made this server a total enjoyable experience while playing. Why? The server has it's own currency which actually works rather well, court sessions, jobs such as Warlocks, Shopkeepers, Reclaimers, a huge city and plus a bunch of other little villages! This all builds into one huge community where players are able to make decisions for themselves or to help their city, sometimes to even destroy opposing villages! Either way, it's a really fun server to play on, and I would recommend it if you play the game! In order to play on the sever, you first have to be white listed. Search on the community forums for Buxville, send in your application and wait to be accepted! It couldn't be any simpler.

With Halloween approaching means Minecraft is getting a Halloween themed update which I am definitely looking forward to! Being able to explore the realms of "Hell" while fighting off fire ball launching monsters should be a quite eventful playing experience!! Also along with this, come 6 confirmed new blocks! It has been said as well that some of these blocks will have their own individual functions, but these have not been told to the public yet! Worries on our sever at the moment though are what is going to happen to the world with this upcoming update, is the world going to be extended for room for the new blocks? Will the world be cut into for the new blocks? Or will the world be reset for the new update? Either way, I don't really mind, this Halloween is going to be a fun one!

    Psychedelic Mushroom Head FTW!!
All in all, if you haven't bought this game yet, I advise you buy it, it's still in Alpha, the offer is 50% off the full price, so it's down to £8.90 something, this is also a one time payment and all future content is free! A big well done to Notch for his success on this game and a shout out to Dan for introducing me to the game !! :)

    Future Posts

First off, I'd like to give a big, massive thank you to everyone who has given me support so far! My blog has reached over 130 views which I am really chuffed with! I've had many positive responses through Facebook and comments IRL! Tbf, I never thought I'd stick to this, but the responses were too great to be lazy and not bother! All I ask is for your continued support and if you see something you don't like, let me know or just throw water melons at me! Thank you again everyone <3

Regarding future posts and where I am aiming to go with this blog, a lot of it has been about Fallout so far, I'm going to take a short break from writing about Fallout and move on to other games, I've already got a few more in mind which I want to write about, but I won't reveal which ones yet. In due time, I will be writing a review about Fallout: New Vegas, hopefully might be my first out of many! I am aiming to do a lot with this blog, hopefully might expand some day so it's not just about games I've been playing but maybe more things :) We'll see someday I guess! Until then, I hope you have enjoyed reading the blog, sorry it was so long this time! Next one shall be up hopefully either Thursday or Friday!! Happy gaming!!

New Vegas, Atmospheric Music, Factions, Glitches....[MILD SPOILERS]

Heya guys. Just a post telling you all, just how far I've got with New Vegas since I got the game...which isn't very far at all after 10 hours of game play so far :P

Well picking up from where I left off last time which was the starting town, I've managed to complete a few quests around there and moved on to some newer places to see what the rest of the game offers...It didn't take too long to encounter the one of the two main factions, the NCR (New California Republic)!! They seem to have a few outposts around the wasteland so far, not encountered a main base or any high end leaders but from what I've seen so far they seem pretty alright..Nothing spectacular about them. Their outposts especially in on part does have a nice something something, it's nothing MASSIVE but it does look pretty cool, I'll let you guys find out yourself's :) Given some quests by them, done them, one of which introduced me to the opposing faction, Caesar's Legion...

First impressions upon seeing these guys... HOLY SHIT, don't let the name fool you, these guys are a bunch of bondage fags dressed as Romans, these guys are serious business. Seeing one of their "arts" of work while being introduced will leave you with a nice touchy feeling, if you've got a dark side to you. There isn't much I can really talk about with these guys apart from that, they seem to do whatever it takes to get the job done, and they will definitely leave their mark one way or another in ways you can't imagine. One thing I would love to express is the music being played while meeting these guys, it is probably one of the greatest atmospheric sounds I've heard in a game in a while, it leaves you so tense and in ways scared at what is going on. Proper demonic, dramatic tension and willy tingling atmosphere!! I'm super serial people, you will love this small but yet great piece of part of the game which will definitely leave you wanting to come back for more, even if it is just for more exploration!

Quick mention also, I've managed to acquire my first companion in the game, not going to say where or how you get this companion! Also got the achievement for getting first companion (Whoo!). The companion interface is also one of the new implemented features to the game which seems to be really useful for when I get into action with the companion ( ;) ). No, not that way, but I do wish for some. You are able to change tactics, give/take items, heal, walking distance, wait or follow. They've definitely improved a hell of a lot on the way companions work in the game which I am happy to see :)

Last thing I'll talk about is my first encounter with a few glitches, first one was one of main dudes had is head stuck in the ceiling and was running in mid-air (I assume the ceiling had epic nom nom moment), but it was wacky!! No idea if this had been fixed yet, but was quite funny to see tbf... Second glitches I have seen is NPCs walking into object while they walking, such as barrels and rocks, and just getting no where!! They are just walking into them with no intention of going around it, "BLOODY ROCKS! HOW DO THEY WORK?" they must be thinking?! Another funny glitch was quite amusing, was while visiting a lovely NCR post, drinking some coffee and having a cigarette, I looked over and noticed a man typing on THIN AIR!! I looked around and he had got a trend going, everyone was typing on thin air! There were no computers but these guys must've loved computers so much, they'd have to imagine a computer so hard for it to actually be thee, but to no avail for them, it wasn't happening! Either way, I assume these glitches will get patched soon, so these guys can get their way around these rocks and the NCR can finally get their computers for interwebbing!

Anyway, that'll be all for now, I'll post again in a couple of days discussing hopefully some different games and  let you guys know how further I've got with the game!!

P.S I did take screenshots of these glitches, but Fallout saved them to a location I can't find, I assume this is something to do with it being a steam product, hopefully though, I'll find them soon and post em up for LOLs soon.

Til next time :) Buhbye with another Fallout post <3

First post....New Vegas 394/3400...Leauge of Legends...

    RAGGGA GGAGGAGA

Wowwwwwzaaaaa. First post going up, so hopefully gonna make this one a worth one of looking back on at a later date if I ever remember this :) Having this blog just to keep sort of a gaming diary going on, I mean people might be interested, they might not be, (more likely) either way, am still going to post shizzle ;D such as random events, glitches, happy moments, achievements or whatever I feel like XD!!

    NEW VEGAS LADDDD

Well, yesterday I got the collectors edition of Fallout: New Vegas for the PC costing my mother £50!! Not bad for it's contents either! Graphic novel, DVD making of, platinum poker chip, 7 poker chips, each designed from the casinos featured in the game, a pack of playing cards and the shoe box thing it comes in! ( Just had a fight with Holi)...........ANYWAY, got the game delivered 21ST October, 1 day for release, all hyped and ready to play, but noooooooooo bloody Steam said "No, no, your a cock soooo wait a day until the release to play"...

¬.¬ Soo I had to wait until 1AM to finally play the game, eventually got on to it in the end after reading the graphic novel (Tells you story following up to New Vegas). First impressions, wow, the intro cinematic was really nice, bit boring with comments on war AGAIN "War...Never changes". As if the developers can't come up with any new dialogue for intros anymore.. Still, started the game, and was instantly WOW, the graphics looked sort of cartoony on the humans, and BOOM HEADSHOT. Wtf just happened? I just got shot? I start the game and I'm dead already? Nahh...You get saved by some doctor dude (Epic head spin glitch FTW), sort your appearance and attributes out and off you go into the wilderness for a little Fallout time. Instantly, you can see the LARGE similarity with Fallout 3, but don't let that put you off playing the game. Thus far through playing this game has definitely got potential to live up to the epicness that was Fallout 3. I do a few quests around the starting village until I come across some dude who introduces the card game which is made in Fallout: New Vegas called "Caravan". Thinking WTF is Caravan? So..view the rules and I was :| Wtf is this shiz? I couldn't understand the rules at all. So I thought I usually learn by just doing it ( ;) . Played a few games and was still mind blagged, couldn't grasp what the hell I had to do to win! In the end I managed to finally complete a few games and acctually win them, sometimes without even realising what I'd done. Soon though, I sort of got the idea of how to win the games and started playing a few more games for the achievements. Got them in the end, so I don't think I'll be playing much more of Caravan unless I find the time form questing! This is probably my big notable part of the game so far, amongst other features such as new monsters which I've come across which are pretty cool tbf, new weapons and ammo types (Not tried much of these) and the new reputation system (again not noticed much of this).

So last saved game,I've come across 1 main faction and a small gang of convicts, I guess I'll see where that takes me from there. For some bragging rights and little jelly production, picture of the collectors edition will be posted with this blog too :)

    LOL It's LEAGUE OF LEGENDS....

Came across this game a little while ago with a few college mates, hearing a lot about it on such sites like 4chan and other game sites mentioning it, we thought we'd give it a go :D By god it was a good move, this game has been a highlight of entertainment for quite a few gaming hours !! :P We've so far got three of us playing 3v3 (Me, Jon and Sophie), but hopefully be moving on to 5v5 if we manage to meet any other good players!! I don't reeeeeeallly know what to say about LOL except that it's just a great game and really enjoyable to play with your mates!! Urmmm we're not tooooo far from ranked matches which hopefully we'll be able to destroy some other teams and get some good rankage going!!

Butttt I CBA typing anymore ehhhhh!! :)
Probably add another post later on or something when I've got something to talk about I guess...and for anyone who ever reads this if they can be arsed, leave comments please :)
